CHOIR CAMP' 06

hahhaa. WOAH! choir camp's over and everybody has been asking me why the camp was so short. haha. i always find it preeeetty amusing that when we all came, we were all feeling why the hell am i here when i could have just lied to be overseas or having syphillis and not be at camp and now all of us are actually dreadin the end of the camp. haha. well, the exco actually wanted 3D2N wan, but the teachers didn't allow. BAH. haha.

camp was super duper fun lahx. the games were fun and interactive invloving the WHOLE group, which was really cool. amazing race was fun! oh ya. i must really really commend my group (Group 2- Jeremy Ng, Hong Sheng, Caroline, He Li, Josiah, Shi Hui and me) for their super effort to continue the race despite all physical odds against us. really proud that we pushed ourselves to the limit and to the end. the determination and fighting spirit that i saw in all of them were evident in the amount of effort they took to literally run the race. NO ONE was left behind, and we were unifted as one throughout the race. so even though we may not be first, you guys have taught me many things such as determination and essentially what a family is. really really proud of you guys for what you all have done!

and oh, just a btw thing... i won best actor again for charades!

haha. so besides the madness and the siao ginas we were at games, there was choir prac as usual. okay here's the part where i msut seperate the two practices into two paragraphs. haha. the first prac we had on tues morning was good i felt. there was a lot of efficiency and we were all focused. did small group again i think. if i recalled correctly we did ad dominum. haha. not too bad lahx. entries only. but still, to adopt the attitude of Yeo, "this is not VJChoir standard" yepps, which is really really true. i think as vjchoir, we are not there yet, but hell yeah, we ARE getting there. haha.

the second chori prac cum small group was fantastic. group 2 and group 6 combined to form the "small" group. hmmm. we failed the first time with our hear my prayer going a tone sharp and pamugun changing keys every system or something. i could feel that all of us went out feeling disappointed in themselves and the group. but i must say that we pushed ourselves to the max during the practice for the retest and YEAH! we passed the retest. hear my prayer was a quarter tone sharp which was a great improvement and pamugun was just great, the Music Co commented that the dynamics were very very well executed and tenor's solo line was beautiful. hah. YES!

-to Yuting: when you told me how disappointed you were in yourself after the first round, i could very well understand your feelings. i felt that way many times last year becuase there were so little tenors and many times i sang solo. felt sometimes that maybe the small group fell because of me. but i learnt to realise that there was no point in lamenting how shitty i sang or how shitty the other person sang, but rather we should see how we can help one another out. we ain't no perfect singers, but with great efforts i'm sure it will avail much. be confident girl!

-to Johnnie: eh brudder! known you for 5 years le, don't scared! sing out. i felt this way when i first came to vjchoir too. the feeling of singing solo is just crazy lahx. i understand how you feel. but they key is to be more confident of your parts and just be confident of yourself! we're ALL working to be pitch perfect, myself included. be strong boy! NIL SINE LABORE! results will naturally show when you put in the effort bro! be confident VICTORIAN!

-to Enoch: woah. you got lots of potential to be a great tenor. sing out. dun scared your pitch go off... just sing out. you won't know whether you are right or wrong unless you sing out. without you, a chord won't form so be confident and sing out! your pitch is correct so sing out!

-to everybody: it was real fun singing and playing games with you all. the times we had together was just memorable and fun-saturated. thanks for the memories and the experiences. VJCHOIR SERIOUSLY ROX!

-to EXCO, MUSIC CO, AD HOC, CRC: seriosuly without you all, this camp would not be a success. every single detail was metiuclously planned out. thanks for all that you've done. the meals by crc, the night walk by ad hoc, the practices and testing my music co, and the planning and execution of plan by exco, thank you so much. *MUACKS*

seriously, VJCHOIR ROX BIG TIME.
NO MAN IS AN ISLAND. NO MAN STANDS ALONE.
WITHOUT YOU, A CHORD WON'T FORM.
A FAMILY WILL BE INCOMPLETE.

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING! :)
