we came and conquered.

i still remember the first day of 2004 when all of us came back to school. in my head, i was thinking about the time i would be taking the O levels and the prelims and the many other things i had to do this year. looking back now, does not only bring back memories but also experiences- with my fellow comrades of 4B, teachers, family and friends all over the nation. time has indeed passed our very eyes jsut like that. i can still vividly remmber the times i spent in the art room finishing up my project, in the classroom where all the noise and fun was, in the choir room where all of us were practising for Rhapsody 7.

it has truly been an amazing year.

normally for any secondary student, there are only 4 major exams. namely the mid yr + end of yr + term1 exam + term 3 exam. but S4 was a huge difference. we did not have term 3 exam but rather in lieu of that we had our prelims. which were FAR more important. the prelims was beautifully fun. we spent time together with one another in the marine parade library, fooling around at times, but we all knew we were stressed. who can ever forget the torment that Geog (E) gave us. or the easy questions of E Maths. i dun think any of u s can ever forget those memorable days. sitting by the window of the Children's section with Rey has taught me one thing- that at every point of time in life, there's always someone there who's always beside you to encourage and to motivate you. and for that, thanks rey! the prelims came and went just like that. slowly one by one the papers ended in a matter of less than 3h. it was simply amazing. and at after every paper, we always huddle outside the hall and discuss. wait, argue for our answers. it was damn fun.

and so prelims was over. results were out. 9 pts for me. i was elated. but that's not the end of the race. this was merely the warming up for the big one. the big one came quickly. even faster than many of us thot it would be. we spent our post-prelims days slacking at home, basically not studying. but we soon got our act together, came together and studied together. see the class bond? the O's came and went too. for many of us, it was a wonderful experience. each time we sat together in the same room, taking the same paper, we always remind ourselves about the facts that we ought to know of. the times we spent outside the exam room was also equally memorable. asking one another qns that we hope would stun them, helping one another to remember facts, oh. those were really the good ol' days.

thruout the whole year, the aep coursework was on going. it was a fun experience just making the coursework. and to do it in the company of your beloved friends just makes the whoel experience sweet and memorable. the times that ragen kicked that make-do capteh. the times that rey pasted those spidey-man pictures on the wall. the times that jason poked jasmine. the times that bryan was quiet while moulding the white clay. the times that muzhaffar was bending the plastics. the times that mr liong caught us red handed playing games in the art room. the times that all of us were together. the experience- simply beautiful.

graduation day was equally memorable. with nearly 400 of us huddled together in the auditorium, my greatest regret was that our class was 12 ppl short. these were the ppl who left us in 2003. it was saddening. just like the show 'Survivor', only the fittest survives. i was disasppointed in myself for not being able to connect to them. to communicate with them. to see things the way they see. getting retained and kicked out was never in my thots or my imagination. it has never hit so close to me. and when the news came, i was devastated. but graduation day was pretty interesting. getting that award for 9 pts just spurred me on to do even better for the O's. i still recall the times i told mr tik that he better come back next yr to see our results. the whole class will be on the 6 - 9 pters list. with the bulk of the 6pters coming from 4B. it just seems to me then on graduation, that 4B was capable of doing just so. my regret was that i was unable to sit with my class on graduation day because i had to collect the award. but then again, i wished i had not gotten the award and could be able to sit with the class. what good issit to a student of 4b to win an award when he is unable to share his joy with his fellow classmates.

rhapsody 7 this year was typically memorable. the times i spent in the choir room and at SSCC were just fun. yeah, there were times that i sorta argued for the rights of the ppl there, but other than that it was pretty fun. ha! come to think again, arguing with the chairman and the student conductor was also fun. haha. but hey! they were in the wrong first lohx. but that's not the point i'm bringing out here today. the concert itself was memorable. considering it to be the S4's last performance on stage with the choir. it'll be so so sad. but i do make it a point for myself to go down once a few mths to check them out. its always refreshing to see my juniors all singing their hearts out and basically doing their best be it at a practise, a rehearsal, or a competition. the days i spent there are always memorable to me.

i still vividly recall the stress that all of us went thru when we had to choose our JCs. we all placed vjc as our first choice. but come 17dec, the trauma came. to many: it was a dream come true. but also to many: it was *shit* but no matter where we're going, NIL SINE LABORE will always come with us. ONCE A VICTORIAN, ALWAYS A VICTORIAN.

23dec was also a beautiful day. we had our first ever class BBQ. the one on 2003 FAILED because of some ppl. but this year, 18 ppl showed up. and each person brought good memories to me. the times i spent with them i class and during aep all came rushing back to me. it was simply amazing. the gift exchange was just FUN! the BBQ was even FUNNER! but the best part was the part where we all took a class photo together! it was bautiful. now on my desktop, the pictures and the memories will always linger in my memories. 23dec: a date i'll always look forward to. for better or for worse, i'll be there for the class bbq. definitely. to relive those good ol' days. who won't?

now that all of us are going our seperate ways, i wonder whether our next 2 yrs will be just as memorable as the times we spent in each other's company. for now, i dun think i'll know. but one thing's for sure. true friendships lasts a lifetime. even thru the darkest nights, the deepest valleys, the raging seas, the stormy weather, for better or for worse, there 4B will always be.

to 4B: my year with you as your assistant monitor has just been amazing. due to the ONLY fact that i spent it with you guys. these 2 yrs of memories will stay fresh in my head, and this would not have been made possible without the company of my good ol' pals- you guys; 4B'04. ROCK ON! let the Victorian Spirit continue to not only live but SHINE in you. for all that you guys have truly done; all the wonderful memories that you've brought me; all the words of encouragement you guys have said- you guys are truly my dear friends. and as i said before, FRIENDS FOREVER.

mixed feelings

just went to the net today. and found out that the death toll has risen well above 114, 000 people already. of which one of the missing is my friend's sister's friend. it has really hit too close to home. but yet, we're blessed to not be seriously affected.

just now, liseng posted in his MSN nick, saying that vjc ogl call already. i chatted with him, he told me they called at 7pm. which was a time i was not at home. how nice and TIMELY. so now, waiting for another call.

the end times.

its definitely the end times. it has been warned that floods, earthquakes and many other natural disasters will rock the world. in times to come, we are living in the end times.

but yet despite all the facts that we are living in the end times, simple basic humanity has taught me well. to love thy neighbour as thyself. i read in the papers today regarding the aftermath and the chaos in the affected countries, and for a person who don't really get hooked to the news, the reports brought sadness and grief to me. this was despite the fact that i knew none of the victims. Singapore has done quite a bit. the govt gave $500,000 to the Singaproe Red Cross to help ask the public for donations. they're also sending humanitarian aid over to the affected countries. but that is all the govt can do. we, as a nation cannot be selfish too.

if we can call in hotlines to donate money for charities, i don't see why we cannot call in the Red Cross hotline to donate. its definitely for a good cause. if we could join hands and survive the SARS ordeal, i dun see why we cannot join hands once again to help those who are just as sickly and dying. some already dead. if the nation can join hands to search for the lost girl, Huang Na, i'm pretty sure that we can do this once more. not to search for people. but rather offer up our resources- money, blood, humanitarian aid, etc.

we were so close to experience a deadly tsunami, it is by the grace and mercy of God that we did not. but seeing the people and our neighbouring countries in a dire need of help, should we not help them rather than sit at the coffeeshop to drink a cup of coffee, when others out there cannot even drink a cup of clean water?

let us not be proud and satisfied that we were not affected except for a few shocks in the south. but rather let us think about how lucky we are. and spread the love around this Christmas. because there are many in this region who needs a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand, a listening ear and a comforter.

to all affected: my heart goes out to you. and i'm sure Singapore's heart does too.

its been a looooooooong time.

christmas is over! *arghx* but a lot of things happened!

25dec- carolloing as usaul. first at ritz. then over at raffles where a nearly 70-ppl strong choir was about o carol in the lobby of the hotel. wat's more: Mr Kwei conducted us! so fun. we really brought the WHOLE hotel down. so fun! then after that- went out with weng keong [4yrs my senior] and chloe [ 2 yrs older ]. junyi and khoonwee also went but they had to leave early. then 25 dec was chloe's parents wedding anniversary. they invited us to have dinner with them. so *wierd!* haha. but we did have a good time with them!

26dec- SUNDAY! so fun. had to learn a new camp rap for the 9 and 11am service for the P5s to thank the teachers there during Christmas, considering this is their last year in Sparklight! but it was fun learning with them and teaching them the steps, the moves, the words, etc. was pretty fun. served for 3pm main service at LET, so couldn't follow the Spdlighters over the LEW for the 3pm drama. but i heard it was quite boring. so *speechless*

27dec- went to school to meet jeremy to pass him his tix for the vjc choir concert. supposed to wake up at7.30 and meet him at 9, i woke up at 7.30, slept again to 9.15, then asked my dad to send me down to school. met him there at about 10.05. haha. *sorwie jeremy!* hahaha. newae, sent law home first, then went to meet sam and muzzy at orchard mrt. they also went to school to buy sch uni for the nxt 3mths. after that- dunnoe wat they're gonna do with it. newae, we went delifrance at taka for lunch. went to kino. then to borders. then to airport where we drank coffee bean. then after that, i went to tampines to meet rey, bryan and kh [ who came later ] to watch ocean's 12. ok lahx the show. not very nice. not very bad. maybe because i neva watch ocean's 11. ahha. stupid. but it was fun. went to bk at pavilion and i had a hershey's sundae! SINFUL! arghx* those extra calories in the night- converted to FATS! *groan.

heyy. todae have really been crazy for me today.

went back to VS to see the new peepx coming in nxt yr. i must say that this year the boys are more evenly proportionate. no more [ tall and thin ] or the [ short and fat ] ones. so cool. seeing all of them. a new batch on pupils to carry on the torch of VS which has been kept alive for this long while!

went down to get the food for the bbq then rey ordered 8kg of chicken. for 20 ppl. smart right? haha. but in the end we bought only 6kg. but it was fun. looking around for stuff to buy. then we were back to our nonsense! matchstix and cooler and badminton rackets were all in the trolley. but we didn't buy them. /duhx/

went down for carolling at raffles hotel todae. the dinner TOTALLY SUX. aha. we ate at the staff cafeteria which was absolutely different from the above restaurants and bars. add a bit of smoke and cigarette smell, u get a opium den. that was how tiny and pathertic it was. was fine on the whole lahx. carolled at many places todae. the courtyard. the lobby. the garden. was pretty fun. but it was SO tiring! standing there for half and hour at one go, without break. and mind you i'm semi- flat foot. it sux. that means that i carnt stand long for nuts. if not my feet would be in pain. yup.

went back for the bbq at 9.30pm. ate a few stuff. and seeing all my classmates- reyneth, muzzy, sam, lianghong, jason, kh, taoyat, shenyean, izzat, jonlim, sanjay, sean, xiangyun, yapchow and mr tik! so fun. seeing all of them there really lit up my face. and it was just amazing wat frends can do. they brought a smile and were indeed a blessing to me for these past 2 yrs, for some 4 yrs le. but hey! they were having fun and yup. back to their nonsense. so fun. and for now, it has been confirmed that on every 23Dec, we'd have a class bbq. will be so kewl. haix. just hope we won't slowly one-by-one leave the scene because of our future gfs, or schoolwork, or cca, or wateva lahx. ya. just hope that all of us can spare a few moments with one another again, and relive those memorable 4B moments! :)

it has been a great dae, and yes. thanx rey! for the logistics of the whole bbq. you were great! and to all you 4b-bians out there, let us stay as one. even after going our seperate ways in the few days to come. we are one. we are 4B.

heyy. todae was LOOOOOOONG. went over to lynn's house to find out that i'm doing like nearly 30mins of lessons for the P5s lahx. haha. *gosh* then after that SUPPOSED to meet mark to learn the new guitar chords, BUT he NEVER turned up. so went to church for the guitar course. was good. at least refreshed myself with the chords. yup. fun. uhhuh. haha. then after that it was prayer time! 2h pray nonstop. was really refreshing and definitely an experience! woah! seeing all of us praying in one voice and one spirit was really powerful. besides, we're all fasting! so i believe the camp next mondae and tuesday will be super duper WONDERFUL! yay!

went out with bernice, charlene (ladies first- though they're not exactly ladies), collin, wilbur and myself went to pastamania to have dinner and woah. it was madness. ahha. tell u ah. being with charlene and bernice rite- you can jsut laugh until u enter the mental hospital lahx. haha. crazy ppl we were. ahha.

hard days are over.

heyy. these few days have really really been happening. as in in the negative sense. having my grandma's funeral since saturaday to monday. and really it has been traumatising and saddening. and yup. it was horrid. yup.

but now its over. went to the Mandai Crematorium just now to collect my grandmum's ashes and so here i am. my grandfather's ashes were also collected from the temple to be relocated to a church with my grandma. yup. seeing the bones and powder, indeed. from dust we were made into humans by the hand and grace of God. and when we've moved to a better place, we will return to the earth- as dust.

actually was in leaders' camp. left early this morning for vjc choir carolling pract. left campsite at 8.30. reached vjc at 9. when pract starts at 10. so i walked one round around vjc (exterior), then walked down to vs. then wu liao go locker, open, close, go back and took bus to vjc. haha. so fun. guess wat? i'm a tenor again. ahha. but todae is damn suay lahx. tenor so high notes. i can reach it perfectly wan lahx. but todae i got a sore throat. so actually i'm supposed to go back tml, but then again, i might go back tml to collect my stuff. then go home le. need to rest. haix. sore sore throat!!! sianx. haha. but msot likely not i think. so see how lahx.

AKLTG camp

heyhey. been a reaaaaaal long time since i came online. haa. for 4 daes to be exact. for those who haven seen me online these past few days, that's jsut because i was in camp from fridae till mondae. yup.

now to the camp. for these past 4 days there was laughter. there were times where i really felt helpless and scared. i found who i am. was in the group Venus. and on the first dae, we were like the bottom of the table. we promised ourselves that we would work our way up to the top. and guess wat? WE DID!!! and oh ya, on the first dae there was this guy who fell sick, and he left us from the second day onwards. so when other grps had 7 ppl, we only had 6 ppl. and seriously, those leaders out there would realy understand that if u have a smaller grp as compared to the rest, chances of u winning and gertiting the top spot is really no mean feat rite? but we did it! Hera!!!! was another grp that venus really really loved! we were a mega grp and working together really was a damn fun nad exciting experience. it was really cool.

so i'm gonna name all me groupies ppl! to cheryl (coach), jiezhen (A coach) amanda, xinyi, hazel, raymond and yeow peng.: getting that prize on grad nite is a symbol that you can achieve anything as long as you put your mind to it. to hera- clarity, dian, nigel, louis, kendrick, russel, sarah: we had such a great time during our discussion sessions and it was super duper fun when we went up there to sing that song for lunch! haha. rock on, venus and hera! love you ppl! other ppl i really really love includes kennick! marcus! Charlene! btw, kennick's from VS. that ass monitor, sama sama as me, from 4J. haha. feel so deprived of such a great frend cause i didn't really know him in VS. haha. so kennick if ya see this! fwends 4eva! Love you people! from the bottom of my heart!

and so, during this camp i actually made some goals. and i wanna share it with you people. i promise to achieve my goals. ROCK ON! after VS, get into VJC Science. the o-lvls don't matter anymore. its over. time to move on. i'm going to do physics, chem, econs and maths at vjc. and i'm going to get an A1 for GP, A for chem, A for physics, A for maths, A for econs, and at least a B for chinese! i'm going to get the journalism scholarship so as to study econs at LSE. but i've got a backup plan. if i dun get the scholarship, i'd most prob get into MU or UNSW, i mean kennick's gonna be there! so i'll prob meet up with him there. haha. can do double scholarship. yup. haha. kewl.

to all ya guys out there who also attended IAG, believe in urself, and work towards it! you can do anything as long as you put your heart and soul into this. always participate 100percent in watever you do. and do watever it takes to get that goal that you have long desired!!!

just now when i was taking the bus, this song by Ronan Keating "when you say nothing at all" played thru my mp3. i somehow stopped watever i did and just sat there and listened. for the other songs rite, i was either moving around or dng smthing else lahx. but when it came to this song, i just sat there are listened. happened again for the song "My Immortal" by Evanescence. am i getting sentimental. haha. well i guess its about time. haha.

todae totally ROX! went out with justin and jue luo. played badminton first from 3-4 pm. and being the horny and disgusting people justin and jue luo are, they dare one another for the loser to give the winner a net amount of 10 sessions. haha. only they will understand the horrendous atrocity. i on the other hand, wanted to play on. didn't want to add on to the number. but because jl was down a net score of 10 to justin, no matter how much i tried. i could only sustain it. haha. not that justin's good. haha. yay. during changing both me and jue luo change outside of the cubicle. i mean no one there also. besides, we only changing shirt. i changed pants too lahx. haha. but that justin went to cubicle to change. ahha. got smthing to hide! haha.

went to the movies later. watched taxi! woohoo! awesome! was comical and yet dramatic. great show. Queen Latifah. woah. she totally rock! and there were those Brazilian girls. oooh. haha. nvm. *dun let the horniness get the better of me* so newae. it was damn farni lahx. hahha.

went eating at teppanyaki at CS. had squid with garlic. nice... haha. 2 bowls of rice? just nice full- not that sorta VERY full until cannot walk. haha. but it was not too bad. haha. then went to LJS at TM. i had a drink. then we went arcade le! haha. play some daytona. haha. lost to justin. idiot. bang so many times lahx. irritating. then again, not that justin's good. ahha. wanted to watch a second show- bridget jones' diary. but then i no $ le. haha. left with 10. gosh! ha. but it was clean good fun. haha. went home then.

belive in urself. all u gotta do is believe. dun think so much. do what you can, and everything within ur control will be done naturally. now that's wat i learnt from TAXI. hhaa.

todae totally rox! haha. went out with class ppl. the 5 of us- kh, bryan, rey, liangi [fer dinner] and i. hhaha. went o plaza singapura watch movie. haha. shark tale! lalalalalllaalalalala ...... *working at the car wash!!!! ohhhhh-yeh-e-yeh-eh-eh!!!* lalalalallllaa... and i found out that lenny from shark tale is cuter than jack jack from the incredibles! oh yeah. he's got that irritating attitude and sweet character! haha. so funny.whole show was, haiyah. ok lahx. nth to sae also. some family show. more family than the incredibles. then again, isn't 4B a family? with kh as the towkay and bryan as the ah bu. haha. yay!

but the most fun thing was that after the show, we walked from PS to centrepoint, then to paragon then to Tangs. haha. then after that we stop there, then decided to walk back to dhoby ghort. hahha. so we turned, cross the road, walked along taka now. so we passed wisma, then taka. then back to dhoby ghort station. haha. then after that we saw suntec city. dun seem far rite? haha. so we walk lohx. from PS down to suntec. haha. passed Rendezvous Hotel. then Singapore Art Museum. then Carlton hotel then stopped at Raffles hotel. haha. then decided that we continue to Suntec, instead of gng to take the train at Raffles City. ahha. so we walk somemore lohx. haha. we started walking at 2105h. ended at 2245h. haha. totally exhausting. haha. and i was wearing this damn small shirt lahx. haha. so it was double the hot. haha. sweaty and sticky. YUX. ha!

on the way, bryan and kh forever talking. haha. sometimes, like at every 5min interval, u'll hear a laugh. sure from them wan. ahha. dunnoe how they can talk for so long. haha. i think talking crap lahx. not talking sense wan lahx sumtimes. but hey! tt's wat makes 4B special! haha. and United! ha! then i and rey down there. silent. silent. haha. no sound. haha. got talk lahx. but compared to the coupld behind us? uncomparable. hahha. adn u noe wat? rey also realised. there was sumthing lacking in our grp! tt was the feminine presence. haha. hmmm. interesting. *zhang da le!

so long havent go out le. haha. last time i went out was on saturadae. though its only last last dae rite, it seemed months. haha. so dying to go out later with class ppl. oh yea! plaza singapura. yet again. how nice. hahahha. so exciting! ha!

sat and sun recap

it has really been an eventful weekend lahx. supposed to go online last nite and add in new post fer yesterdae. but i guess i'll do it todae. hahhaa.

yesterdae-went to the clinic fer some jab cause gng to hong kong mahx. so go there take jab. shouted lahx. so malu. i hate jabs lohx. especially the one before the sat's one. that was the fine needle aspiration thing (dunnoe how to spell lahx) but they inserted this LONG needle into my neck to draw some fluid out. when i was conscious. so irritating and painful. i was scared le. so i shouted when i saw the needle. but poked in: not painful wan lohx. damn malu lahx. come out, ppl look lohx. haha. so punny. then went down to vjc. wanted to ammend some of my choices. thot it was the 26. but it was the 27. asked to go to moe there lahx. so far. like up north. about 500km north of capital: Orchard. haha. i didn't go lahx after all. so it's still fixed. yup. then went fer vjc choir carolling auditions. damn fun lahx. the games. the warmups. the auditions were the most fun. hahah. went in. told them i was bass. they tested my low range. i reached a F#. tt's quite low lahx. but the basses in vs can reach to a D. so i'm not too bad fer a B1. haha. sounds like i'm some banna in pyjamas. haha. newae. then they tested on my high range: i reached a E. but todae, i tried and i reached a G. so i can sing like 3 octaves lahx! haha. so they were like: are u sure ur in bass? haha. farni incident. went out with seniors of vjc choir. some i noe, some i dunnoe but saw b4 at genting competition. haha. so we walk walk, talk talk, eat eat, have fun basically. it was fun lahx. any time/ moment spent with seniors rite are always fun and exciting wan lohx. haha. so it was fun. *how many times did i sae it? nvm. fer the record- it was fun.

todae- went to church as usual. the whole dae, literally, was spent there. 9am was the so-called P5s graduation. i had to be there because i'm gng to be their leader nxt yr. yup. damn cute girls and boys. a pleasure. the boys were rowdy lahx. but they are super duper nice lahx. haha. they make so much noise rite, but deep down they are so so so nice and welcoming. great kids. went fer cell group nxt. then went spdlight fer like a few tens of minutes like 30min? then went down fer 3pm rehearsal. stayed there till 2.30pm, then served fer 3pm service. they had a drama where only kids were involved. haha. i helped out in the lights lahx. the programming and things like that. but todae i was backstage. yup. so fun. haha. the children were seriously seriously cute and having a great time. guess wat? they're only 5/ 6 yrs old lahx. that's liek K1 and K2 only lohx. amazing feat. 2 grps of kids. each grp do 2 services. haha. so they have to stay on lohx. so fun. haha. then after that, was sparklers prac. had a great time. everything was jsut so loud. haha. crazy ppl. we being the soundguys... haha. did nth lohx. sing along. went fer like a 15min dinner. came back. served in 7pm service. same thing. packed up. left church at bout 9.30pm. so it was more than bout 12h in church. but it was really great. awesome. haha. to be in the house of God. and being back to serve in the tech ministry. brings back good ol' memories. haha. yay!

yesterdae. all my troubles seem so far away.

went out with classmates yet again. this time with ragen, rey, bryan and keunho. woah. went to watch THE FORGOTTEN. nice lahx. but farni and stupid thing was that none of us knew wat the hell the movie was all about. so we jsut paid some 7.50, sat down and watch the movie like some newbies. none knew. maybe we just forgot. haha.

the show's bout a mother's love. nice lahx. several real heart-pounding actions. not too bad. but at the end of the movie, they didn't say why the kids were abducted. who the hell was that man. some supernatural being or some humans. why the experiment even took place. why was it that if the humans didn't cooperate, they'll die? no meaning lahx the show. but it was heart-warming on the contrary. hahaha. totally not the word to be used for such a thriller-movie. but watever lahx. anyway, there were just so many suspicisions. hmmm... maybe I forgot. haha.

had dinner at the food court at the basement of cathay cineleisure. bryan orderes laksa dry. hahaa. damn lame lahx. hahha.. carnt stop laughing over that incident. ha! newae, classmates left early. about 8.30pm then they go home le. somehow, i felt wierd to have left them. i dunnoe. neva done this sorta thing before. i went walk walk with my seniors. at taka. 2 lamers lahx. haix.

but we walked till plaza singapura lahx. that's similar to walking from somerset mrt station to dhoby gaught mrt station lahx! hahha. walk so fast somemore. irritating. make me feel so sticky and hot. ahah! met me choir senior (erm, she's a she. vjc choir wan. well she's my mummy in VJC!) haha. so we met her there and then we just talked at the starbux there lohx. so irritating lahx. saw rueben and rui wen at starbux. apparently they went to crash RGS prom. so wu liao, if u ask me. haha.

i sorta decided liaox lohx. VJC-science: PH-CH-EC-MA. ya. all thnx to mabel from vjc! thnx! haha. eternally grateful fer explaining so much to mua. haha. thnx!

O-levelies reflections!

Chem Pract:
the best chem pract i had since... erm...*forgot when, but it was sure long ago. The prelims exams- chem pract was totally screw, came out of the lab nearly crying. Biut this time round, i thank God for Hos work through me in praising and glorifying His name through my pract! Awesome! did a total of nearly 6 titrations and still found time for QA. Amazing! First 2 titrations were close: 25.2 , 25.3. #rd time was a flop: 25.8. 4th time: realised i didn't refill burette. %th time: shaked the burette jet, droplets came out, didnt know whether any got into my nearby solution. so REDO! 6th time: 25.3! so happy! the success of the pract- Must dedicate it to the One who helped me through!

Physics Pract:
Totally forgot wat happened this day. writing this as a candidate who has finished the chinese and ss paper le. but all i remember is that i could not finish the paper. designing of the experiment part- yeah didn't complete it. but drew the graph. so pray that Cambridge sees it. and at least give me a mark for it.

Chinese Paper 1 and 2:
A great start to the written papers! the composition questions were something i did before- about ppl gng to hotels to spend their public hols instead of spending it with their families. so, THANK GOD! paper 1 was not that tough. paper 2 was slightly more difficult. comprehension was totally madness. crazy madness. got a few mistakes here and there. so altogether, excluding compre, i had 11.5 marks deducted le!!! but now, a great relief! chinese is over!

Social Studies:
all the essays that appeared in the exams were all the topics that i prepared for! Switz, Jap and D&D all appeared! Praise God! this morning, had a gut feeling that all these 3 would come out. hahha. the SBQ were slightly tougher- 2 inferences, 1 reliability, 1 Sim and diff. so sianx. sbq was bout the falklands islands conflict. DAng! and so i predicted correctly- htta conflict among countries would appear again. SS is finally OVER!

English Paper 1 and 2:
the first paper that i'm sitting for to be sent over to Cambridge- and wwat a great start! was a bit rusty in the compo part. where i got sort of mixed up and confused about the language used in the introduction and the first para. But thank God!- He saw me through, and the writing became much more fluent. and b4 i knew it, i finished the compo! the informal letter was not too bad too! in fact, i guess it was wonderful! just that my format a bit the wrong. i didn't add the date. Comprehension i guess was not that bad too. about some speed (tech and running). Thank God for the FOCUS adn the times when He was there to get some songs out of my head!!

EMath Paper 1:
the paper was relatively easy. thank God! when i first did the paper, there were some qns which i stumbled over. qns that i didn't know how to do. but when i did the paper a second time- went thru all my workings ands stuff, completed the paper! so it was a good paper. a VERY good one. THANK GOD!

AMath Paper 1
For the first time since the MYE, i finally completed the AM paper! i still recall myself praying for a breakthrough! and i received it! was initially quite worried when i realised i was stumped at the first qns on vecotrs. i spent nearly 15 mins on that qns alone and finally gave up on it. then i went on to complete the paper. leaving out qns on vectors, binomial., integration in 75mins! went back to complete the binomial qns. integration was tricky- till now we dun even noe the right ans- i forgot mine too! but i was so filled with JOY! x-checked ans with some classmates and realised all my ans were correct- except for one or two lahx. but NVM! Praise GOD!

Emaths Paper 2:
EM is finally over! i sorta calculated the amt of papers and time left till the end- 8 more papers= 14h 15mins more. less than a day. Thank GOD for seeing me through all the past papers! was tumped at the first qns- trigo and angles. looked to left and saw YC who went on to 2nd qns le. panic struck! but after calming down, finished the qns and went on. paper was slightly more challenging than the first one . but definitely manageable! dunno why so many ppl do the CFC, i did the curce to find the surface area and radius of the cylinder. prayed b4 dng adn felt more confident dng the curcve! excpet for the gradient of the curve, the rest were correct! Thank God!

AEP (Drawing and Painting):
beautiful paper! completed the painting, since dunnoe when. havent been able to do so fer a VERY VERY VERY long time le. the compo was praised by my teachers, well liked by the examiners. haha. i think they cannot understand my painting lehx. haha. look here look there wan. i think its the compo which excited them ba! hahah. andre and sam got the most stares. even art-pro keunho also they never look. see la. stupid sam. but thank God, major hurdle's finally over!

Geography (elective):
so exciting. 2 papers in 1 dae. 2 subjects- correct tt. crazy madness!! but geog was great. tourism- saw the qns b4! but neva go and do. stupid me. haix. but it wa good. tourism was fine. i counted and i wrote aout 43 para. if all are correct, i would have scored a min of 43 marks! yay! i believe so. oh yeah! but thank God lohx. the map was awesome! coastal map came out, precisely wat debra and i predicted! haha. to God be the Glory!

Physics Paper 1 and Paper 2:
for a person who didn't study for it, until the night before the paper, i felt the paper to be not too bad. quite easy. haha. dunnoe. *shrugs shoulders* . but i jsut have a great feeling that i can get about an A2 fer it? ha! I pray so. but it was fine. a bitty bitty tricky only. but hey! its physics, tell me something new about this subject! Praise God- 1 Science down!

AMaths paper 2:
totally screwed this paper up. gosh. tons of carelessness. but i hope and pray that the first paper can jack up my marks. but haix, all my weakness in amaths all hit as one shot. the previous night so tired from 2 subjects/ 3 papers le. so sleep early lohx. never really study in depth. haix. but dang it lahx. so irritating lohx. dang it. dang it. but its over. and Thank God! beacuse without Him, i wouldn't even be able to do any questions!

Chemistry Paper 1 and Paper 2:
Paper 1 was not too bad. lost about 5marks le. irritating. a replay of the mock exams? ewww. i don't think so. (mock exams i scored about an A2). paper 2 was fine. praying fer an A1. Cambridge! u better give me the A1! PRAY! yea! so after this day, the major papers are finished! yay! one last paper on tuesday! Thank God!

AEP (SEAsia Art):
great paper. ok lahx. some cheong soo pieng and tan swie hian came out. of course do the latter lahx. tan's work are so abstract! dunnoe how to ans. essay on SIN art was awesome! georgette chen came out- so fun. haha. SEAsia art- the same painting that came out for prelims came out! yay! so fun. hhaa. so do again lohx. haha. the paper was relatively fine. not big diff. but then again, its the end of the O's!

THANK GOD FOR SEEING ME THROUGH THE O-LEVELS. ALL THAT I'VE DONE IS NOT BY HUMAN HANDS. BUT RATHER BY THE GRACE OF GOD.!

todae's the dae that the application for JCs start. yesterdae had a really good discussion *not very productive-like 500lines of words but still no firm decision* with rey, bryan, kh, izzat and ragen. it was good.

here's wat's holding me back:
VJC- beautiful school. great sch culture- i mean from vs to vj, similar sch spirit. nice ppl. choir's great there. besides, gng there= 4 bonus pts. BUT! subject combi lahx. either 3 humans plus 1 maths/tsd/ art, where 2 of the humans is mandatory econs and lit. love econs to bits. but skeptical bout lit. or 2 science 1 maths 1 humans. see the irritating part of it?

TJC- went to the openhouse. didn't really appeal to me. quite boring there. heard from my frends from there, who also told me taht the school there is seriously boring. so i'm not surprised. ss has taught me well, if the source is critical bout his/her own origins then i can believe more. so yup, i'm skeptical bout the school culture. yar. BUT! subject combi there is precisely wat i want. 2 humans (up to me, which will be econs and geog for me), 1 maths and 1 sience (chem!).

so u see the horrible difference, if only VJC principal or someone can come see this. then maybe can open a new class which has a subject combi of 2 humans, 1 maths, 1 science. preferably: GE-EC-MA-CH. gosh. so irritating lahx. dang it. going out to watch a late night movie with classmates later at 5pm. i mean 5pm meet. not the time of the movie. 5pm call late night movie mehx? *kokkokkok head* also gng to discuss bout the jc choices also. haix. all so lost. all so helpless. feels like primary school. just taht now? parents not there to help u choose. back then they help u choose. u jsut shuddup. i wasn't that deprived though. had a say. but now: all up to me.

haix. got 2 more daes to decide. but i think i'm gng for tjc. its combi over jc. tt's that. kenny told me: accountability and responsibilty will tell me wat to do. i seriously hope it does tell me soon. real soon.

finally. the O's are over. wanted to write a newe entry. but then i wanted to create a new blog fer a long long time. but because it was due to the O's, i had to postpone it. now that the O's are over, heyheyhey!!! a new blog!

haha. yesterdae was the last dae of the National Examinations. did a few reflections on foolscap for each subject. so i guess i'll publish those soon. haha. haix. but since yesterdae, no doubt we had fun and stuff after the O's, but i felt lost. i was supposed to feel happy. euphoric. but then i was lost. desolute. no more purpose. the other levels still have got some hols hw. well that's their purpose: to finish the hols hw. but me/ us? nutting. lost. helplessly helpless. gosh.

and guess wat? something spectacular happened yesterdae. i had this sudden urge for the presence of a female. i mean i was with a totally male gang. ha! but then i was to some extent bored. wanted someone. someone different. went to watch the movie "The Incredibles". totally family movie. as if the male gang was family. haha. imagine bryan as the mother, and keunho as the lao ba! haha. then rey can be the maid. haha. *ehx: maids are nice okay? then again, rey's nice. ahha.

this few weeks of exams have really been fun. hahha. serious. sit in some air-con rooms. take papers. in the morning. in the afternoon. wow. now that its over, its amazing how time passes so quickly. even as i type this new entry, the peepx at JCs are taking the A's! Ganbatte! haha.

todae went for some JC admission briefing. so many stuff to do. so many JCs to choose from. so many choices. arts- science? take geog- econs? which one? VJC rox! wanna be a Victorian in a Victorian school fer the nxt 2 yrs! oh yeah! haha.
