kayak adventure. heh :)

heh. finally i know the feeling of being dizzy, of course, i'd be after a 2h kayak adventure followed by a 2 and a half hour lunch cum dinner at seoul garden. hahaha. the day started off like this:

supposed to meet daniel at tampines mrt at 8.15am, but he came late at 8.30am. alright lahx. hahaha. not as bad as me. went down to kallang mrt, where we had macs for breakfast. the macs next to the mrt. halfway through the meal, dajie call me, told us they were at the macs near the national stadium. hahaha. still never mind, can walk wat right? hahah. so finish meal le, then took bus down, then walk. haix.

reach there, all there le. so we went out supposed to kayak at kallang there, then dajie call dunno who, then realised that kayak spot's only for club members. very good. part of adventure. hahhaa. so we go down to east coast sea sports club. damn, go down there, they say they dun rent out kayaks. even better. the woman there told us the NSRCC club provided rental services. ask her how long to get there, she say 15-20min walk. i'm sure lahx. you won't really noe how long the distance was until we hitched a ride on the park cleaner/ gardener's lorry. somehow, it made me wonder why is it that people who drive big luxury cars, people who should all the more accept a hitch ride, dun do so?

so we finally reach there le. hahaha. FINALLY. daniel and i took a doubles, jeremy and justin took a doubles, jie and marcs took singles each. now this was the climax of the whole adventure. we got everything done, and off we went into the sea! woohoo! daniel and i paddle halfway, dun wanna paddle le. dman irritating, damn tiring also lahx. hahaha. we paddle here and there, always cannot paddle to where we wanna go to one. irritation. yea.

out into the sea, all 4boats came together, then decided to capsize boat. hahaha. jie went in first. dan placed his legs over the boat, then was still unsure. now when he did that, the boat was obviously a bit the unstable le. hahhaa. to make things worse, i shifted my body over the the right, where his legs were over the right. the whole kayak capsizd and OVERTURNED. ahaha. both of us were like WTH! hahah. had to turn the kayak back up again, then get up there. which we later did. [duh!] hahaha. but that was damn good.

we paddled from NSRCC to the seasports club. which was a great deal of a distance, paddling there was alright. but when we had to paddle back. damn it was looooooooooooooooooong. very loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong. hahaha. while paddling back, it started to rain. that was the best. hahaha. rain in the middle of the sea. very good. all of us damn scared it'll be a thunderstorm. if that happens, sea would get rougher, wind would get stronger. hahhaa. yea. damn. but it stopped. THANK GOD! hahah. but it was prett6y freaky. hahaha. both of us paddled like mad pigs, not looking at where we're heading, jsut paddling. hahaha. paddle non-stop lahx. madness. but we reached where we wanted to go, the end! hahaha.

oh. when we were paddling back, we found a floating rotten condom. damn wide, but short. hahaha. hmmm.. i wonder.

hahaha. after all that, went to seoul garden at tm. ate for like 2 and a half hours. nearly died. hahaha. halfway, dan and i couldn't take it, went to walk walk. actually we had to get new underwear. hahaha. not ours. but jie's. hahaha. his underwear was wet, then he threw away i think. so he wasn't wearing nething down there when we went to the mall. hahaha. amusing. hahhaa. hmmm. thye pbought a pack of 3. 1 for dan, 1 for jie, 1 for me. hahah. we called ourselves the hush! hahha. i'll leave you to guess why so. it'll be too disgusting for me to write it up here. [as if talking about a guy not wearing undies is not disgusting]

hahaha. went for sco practice after taht. so tired lahx. but it was a very very very good experience. hahaha. very fun! hahhaa. i reckon the average age of the sco is like 30-40+++ hahaha. i won't be surprised lahx. carnt imagine the next batch of juniors who will take over the reigns of the sco. hahaha. but they're really really very good. not some school co lahx. conductor talk, school co justtalk like they've not seen one another in ages. hahhaha. very fun.

now, here's the fun part. when we had comm meeting after the practice, that was already abotu 10? i felt dizzy, and just laid down. argh. hahaha. so fun!

LOL. haix. have been sleeping for like 7h only lahx these few days of the hols. hmmm. is that enough. want to sleep more, but then cannot lahx. if sleep too much, instead of being energetic, you become some walking zombie lahx. bah! haix. dunno wat to do today also. want to swim, but no sun. feel like running, but need to study. study is a must for me le. no longer an option. its mandatory. compulsory, A MUST.

tml got physics makeup and then followed by gp. but marcus and the rest of the gang wanna go ecp to kayak. damn. i wanna go kayak too! argh. see how lahx. most likely i go after make-up. haha. kayak! woohoo... so maybe i dun do anyexercises today lahx. hahaha. then again, i think i'll run tonight. hahaha. hate running. especially when you run round the track a few thousand times (actually only 6 lahx :P ), need tons of determination lahx. bah!

went to school this morning actually supposed to play squash with rayner, but then right, no rackets. aiyah, then my dear childhood friend told me got. ahhaha. reach the room, he told me can only find tennis rackets. hahaha. nvm lahx. newae, when we wanted to play, there were already people playing at the courts. ahhaha. so nvm lahx. another time lahx.

hmmm. jeremy gan and dan came over to vjc to hand up their dsa stuff. ahahha. didn't expect them to come down. totally cannot study lahx, when they came. ahhah. btu then again right, if you think about it, its not an everyday thing that you can meet them and really enjoy their presence as year 0. hahaha. reminds me of my years in vs, hahaha. for 3yrs as a senior. still am, and yes i'm proud of being a vs-victorian. yaaaaaaaay! hahaha.

back from solo swimming.

ha! finally went swimming on my own. hahaha. went to tampines at first, then realised it's closed down for renovation. bah! so went to the bedok one. hahaa. alright lahx. not very crowded, actually not a lot of people also. hahaha. so nearly had the pool to myself, but i must say that in the noon, there are relatively more adults and army-personnel-age-group-people there. yea. so they all bug the adult pools. hahaha. but it was alright lahx. haven't been swimming for a long time le. hahaha. so i did 4 laps for warmups, then rested then went to do about 16laps with about 15-30sec in between each. hahhaa. eh, i noe not good lahx, but for a person who hasn't been swimming recently/ frequently, i think its a pretty good attempt. ahhaha.

going to sch [singapore conference hall; not school] later for the arts festival practice. first rehearsal with the orchestra. wonder how big a screw up it will be. hahaha. ok fine. it won't be a screw up. hahaha. our parts will be alright i think,. jsut that when we are supposed to come in, but we dun, ahhhh, that's where we might just see blood boil. hahhaa. so exciting.

one thing i must state is that for me personally, as a graduate from a boys school, seeing people flare up and start screaming at the people are actually quite funny. hahaha. am i perverted? maybe. hahaha.

the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy

ah-ha! all you earthlings- this is your captain, mouse speaking. while you may be busy at work with the experiments on our fellow brothers and sister, let me reassure you that you too are being experimental subjects in our very own wat we call as "live testing". well, its nothing painful nor hurting, just excruciating. we extract your brains to search for the meaning of the life. the ultimate question is what we are looking for. do not under-estimate our small brain which to you proud humans may think of it as tiny and insignificant, it can get lethal. of course, we wouldn't want to show that side of us to you, our owners. at least not for now.

hahaa. well this is wat the whole movie "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is all about. hahaha. if you're interested to find out how dolphins are linked to the demolition of a house because the authorities have to build a new courseway, and then linked to the demolition of the world because the universe authorites want to use the space that the earth is taking up to build a new courseway, which is then linked to how 2 people get stranded on a ship of real fugly creatures [probably jabba the hut's cousins] and then linked to how these 2 men find themselves in a beautiful ship with 2 new people and a robot [i must say: the robot's cute, but suicidal] which is further linked to how they run all around the universe just to search for the meaning of life, then yes, this movie is for you.

of course, there are the funny parts, such as people praying to a handkerchief and instead of the normal Christian AMEN, they go AHCHEW and the person i/c goes bless you. its funny, but on the Christian perspective, well its pretty much blasphemous. there was also a part which stated that men actually created the world. well, then again in the Christian perspective, God made the world. as to why 2 mice can be smarter than 4 humans and a robot still baffles me though. i wonder why this whole show's created and produced in the first place. it somehow seemed to me and my friends that the producers had a tough time thinking of creative ideas to put into the show. it seemed rather impromptu, if i may use that word. as if the show's made without proper planning and script- it jus didn't flow. maybe its something philosophical.

ahh- i got it. maybe the whole mix-up thing is jsut to re-emphasize the point that we may be searching for the answer to the ultimate question in our lives , that is waht is the thing that brings us great satisfaction and joy to our lives. all the jumble-mumble-crap is just to show that life itself is complicated. there are just so many things in life, and others' life that we need to satisfy. there is an unlimited need to satisfy ourselves, so much so that we always ask ourselves what really satisfies all our needs when the answer actually laid before us. love. it never fails. cliche, but yes its true. ti defeats all enemies, brought peace in the land, restored new life, brought new hope. maybe at the end of the day, the whole movie was about the love of Christ. just like in the show, when sometimes we may be so far far away from the people we love, yet we will not appreciate them until we lose all that we have. until our eye for material wealth is permanently blinded, we will never understand and see the true love of Christ.

this show's a definite must - watch for animation buffs.
also a show for people who just have too much money to spend.
overall, it was alright.

a new blog skin.

woohoo! finally. a new blog skin. this one was the shortest i took to create a blog. hahaha. 2h was all it took! of course in between i had to wash the clothes and binch, but still it loooks pretty alright. the tag-board has been revamped too, enjoy the new shoutbox then. hahaha. music's cool, shoutbox's funky, overall, damn i'm proud of myself.

watched tv the whole morning. watched a documentary on the komodo dragons. then watched a horrid girl-cartoon "totally spies". yucks. as i watched the final minutes of the show, i asked myself why do girls like this sort of "girls-try-to-kick-butt" cartoons or even "girl flower power" shows. so unimaginative. hmmm, i think i sound like a perfect male chauvanist pig. alright, minus the pig part, but still i found the shows to be "guy-action-heores-wannabes". gah!

haha. to think that i actually intended to study econs and chem today as well as math which i didn't do yesterday. hahah. i didn't study at all lahx today. choir in the afternoon, actually it started with sectionals at 10. then choir prac at 1. then we kept on singing those 4 songs for the arts fest wan- the one on zheng he. haix. come to think of it, what's his english name? tay ho. hahahha. bah. sang till about 4pm. then went to starbucks. quite fun to zhuo nong the 2 of them, well you can nearly say i'm a family friend of the tan family. hahaha. or at least soon-to-be tan family. hahaha. who knows? hmmm. *ponders* gah! went to parkway, to meet my 4bclassmates AGAIN. bryan (again? yepps), yapchow, elias (yepps, again.), shen yean. yup that's all. hahaha. went bowling where we played 3 games, a total of 7.50bucks EACH. wth- pay so much. hahaha. avergae score a bit the below 100. hahaha. but elias kept dng stupid things lahx. dam,n farni shit. hahaha. shen yean also, bowl the loudest seh. hahaha. i'm contented- had 2 strikes today. hahaha. everybody say yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. ahahhaha. bleepeers. went pool at like 10.50pm, hahaha, then played fer about 1h, same place, then we chiong to the bus stop. hahhaa. shen yean and i managed to take the last bus home! praise God! hahhaa. so now back home writing this blog...

bah! thot i could accomplish wat i wanted to do today- study physics and maths. in the end, only managed to finish physics. chem was done in the morn, but that's not really counted cause it was supposed to be done yesterday. seems like i'll be pushing my schedule by one subject down. bah! have been slacking too much. was watching x-men evolution on cartoon network this afternoon. man, i miss my childhood days when i can just sit down and watch my fav cartooons like teenage mutant ninja turtles without giving a damn care about wat's going on around me. now with the a-levels beckoning nxt year, i carnt seem to put down my books for a few minutes of enjoyment. arghx.

Ms Universe was on tonight. didn't watch at all- went out to play pool with bryan and elias. again, i know. watched star wars for the second time. again, i know. darn, i've been doing a lot of redundancies these few days. haha. heck. it was great fun playing with them. hahaha. all those damn nice shots, eh eh- elias quite the pro wan neh. that bra also. hahaha. only i like some beginner . hahaha. eating some humble pie, it sure taste good. back to Ms Universe.

hcjc choir concert.

went for the hcjchoir concert today. it was fantastic. their 2 syf's pieces were better than the one we heard during the actual competition. was really really nice. actually the reason why ray and i went to watch was because we wanted to hear bin-na-ma only. hahaha. but who knew, we were entertained by so many of their songs. really really good stuff. hahaha.

deserved their gold with honours.

i went for 3 concerts in 3 days? 2 choir, 1 band. choir- mjc and hcjc. band- well, vjc. ha. spending too much on arts concerts le. but that's the last i think i'll go. the next one will be tpjc, but i think i'll most likely give it a miss this time round. heard them many times le. hahhaa. argh! acjc's latvian piece is just replaying through my head now. ha!

we were ranking the choir concerts by the various jcs after this night's concert: hc's first [definitely], ajc, mjc, then acjc. actually if acjc had at least an emcee, they would be pretty good. mjc- new choir: carnt really blame in terms of a lot of techniques, power.. yea. choral stuff. but i must say, all 4 concerts arr pretty much entertaining. very very nice pieces some choirs lreally have. i'll always rmb acjc's latvian piece. mj's shogan, and abba medley. aj- didn't go. hcjc's binnama, and ... errr.. actually all the songs lohs.

oh ya:

soccer finals

BAH! soccer finals: vjc lost to mjc 1-1, 6-5 on penalties. damn. but frankly speaking i felt both teams were good and both showed tremendous fighting spirit. it was saddening to see your own school lose in the finals, after beating the same team during the group matches 3-0. well i guess soccer's gonna be dominated by this 2 schools. vjc and mjc. both have really reaslly good players and coach too [tan yew hwee rocks! my pe teacher mahx...]. very very strong determination from both schools. vjc was down 0-1, but fought back with a penalty bringing the score up to 1-1. then game ended. sudden death brought a lot of stress... damn, i didn't even experience that sort of stress when i was taking my o-levels lahx. wth. hahaha. but anyway. that was the most stressful for the spectators, let alone the players on the field. but no goal. so penalty shoot-out. in the end, we lost 6-5 on penalties cause one soccer guy kicked the ball over the net. i think if he was to blog tonight, he'll be crying while typing it all down, recollecting his memories.

but frankly, kudos to all the vjc soccer guys! even to the guy who shot the ball over the net. we're all proud of you. you showed the fighting spirit- victorian spirit in the game and i felt that was all you needed to win the title. the trophy was just extra, the incentive and motivation was to play your hearts out. i could sense that all of you guys out there on the pitch wanted to win badly, doing your best to score that goal. my brothers: that is exactly wat the Victorian Spirit is all about- doing your best in whatever you do. maybe luck's not on our side, some people might believe. but persoanlly i feel this loss was necessary for greater things to happen for the soccer guys. sounds like the star wars movie right. hahaha. the emperor telling the dunno who that the loss of the count duku was necessary... hahaha. jsut as i enjoyed and remembered the movie, i will always remember this match.

well, besides the soccer match, there was choir elections today. and i was elected as the General Affairs Manager (GAM), taking over adrian's duties. from the bottom of my heart, i felt that all 11 nominees for the 5 available posts were very very strong contestents. too bad i didn't know a lot of them personally. people such as irvin, livia and zhour chu were the people i didn't really know. as i said in my presentation, i WILL do my best in whatever post i'm given if given the oppurtunity, and yes, now that i've been entrusted with this task, i WILL do whatever i promised. i still feel that the exco or musicco cannot work individually, neither can we work together and not with the choir as a whole. in the end, a choir is ultimately made up of PEOPLE and not person or groups of persons. we have to work together to bring the choir to greater heights and this belief of mine still stands.

eventful!

to all my faithful readers, i'm sorry i left without a word. damn that sounded so darn romantic. hahaha. but hey! i'm barck! it has really really been an eventful week. with sov, then the 3 day holidays. hahaha. pretty much cool. hahaha.

sov was so darn cool. just singing on the stage of the esplanade was just spectacular! hahaha. so fun. not gonna miss the nxt time we're gonna sing there- arts fest with SCO event.. its held there right> hahaha. wateva lahx. it was just like WOW. hahaha. beautiful place. with nice backstage rooms. i'll always miss the times we had jsut before SOV 2005. ahhaa. all the mad rush from room to room, trying to take photos with nearly everybody! hahha. the people in my room will also be a part of my memories- jianhao, martin, tiong, chuah, nigel, joshua, asik! woohoo! our room's the smallest, but the most cosy! woohoo! damn! i miss sov.

i carnt explain all of SOV here. it'll be pages long. read until u sian diao. hahaha. but it was the most momorable experience i ever had. hahaha. Year 1s! gotta start thinking of how to organise nxt year's SOV le! hahaha. at least have some ideas that we can all share! hahaha. so fun so fun so fun. to think this willl be my first and second last performance with the vjchoir. so so so fun! ah... even as i write this, the memories flood my head.

tt reminds me... cloudburst with the seniors [chorale], was super super fun and nice! hahhaa. loud too! hahhaa. damn fun. MAH-OH! hahaha. damn love that song. leonardo was beautifully done. though i felt we could have done much more. hahaha. the rest was alright. ahhaha. kalla kalla to me was alright when i was on stage singing, but when i heard the recording, it was very nice. hahaha. but there were some people who said the tenors are very weak. hmmm. but we were loud. hahaa.

went for acjc concert on sat. it was technically very very good. kudos to them for the soft intense singing. but frankly, i felt no soul in the music. besides, the songs they sang were typically competition songs... not very suitable for concert. oh ya! there was also no emcee throughout the concert. argh. like one silent movie... sianx diao. they sing song, u also dunno wat song they're singing. bah! but i actually heard peopl saying that the alumni is so much stronger than the college choir. little wonder why they got champio, whereas this time round, the college choir didn't do as well. the alumni choir had like about 30people? sounded so much louder and fuller. bah! i felt they were very very very controlled. as if they wanna sing out loud, but there's something gagging them. restricted imagination in singing. bah! overall- good, but forgettable.

hahaha. to all acjcian choir members: we're not bragging, but frankly with your techniques and skills, and a little more of expression, i'm sure ur concert next year will be so much much better. i think a lot of people have the same sentiments as me. oh ya. get an emcee. it helps in the movement of the concert. not just one silent track with different movements.

fun experience

argh! haven't written anything on the blog fer a million and one years le... have been so busy with a lot of things: 1) Syf competition 2) PI 3) GPP 4) catching up with tutorials... hahaha...

went back to vs todae to collect my o's certificate with the rest of 4B. hahaha. sam, byran, muzzy, ragen, yc, kh, sy, xy came to collect... yaaaaaaaay... seeing them again somehow set the floodgates of memories free. damn i miss those days with u guys 4B. just us sitting around talking noithing but c**k. haha. i've this huge feeling that if i use the c**k word, my blog will be one of a search engine's results for pornographic websites. argh. damn i miss those days.

we were supposed to go for dinner but i had to leave halfway, actually b4 they even decided on dinnerplace cause i had to leave for church rehearsal. there was a rehearsal for the pastor lim gee tiong concert nxt thurs and friday. yea. and since i'm the tech i/c, i HAVE to be there. so yup: to all my brudders, sorry i couldn't go dinner with u guys yea? i'll prob see u guys again when we watch star wars. hahah. just rmb to bring more money, cause we can have mroe fun, like eating more exotic food. hahha.

and so i went to church, and the runs were pretty good. hahah. then it was time to go home. shubert sent my home on his motorcycle. by golly! it was a damn fun ride lahx. hahha. as in seriously, it was really really fun. with the wind blowing against your face, the feeling of being on a M/C is just exhilarating. hahaha. FUN! shahhaa.

tml got choir. full run with victoria chorale. not bad. singing thru cloudburst i think. hahah. will be so fun. i seriously need warmups to sing. if not, i cannot reach my note, and then i'll mostlikely end up singing the melody with my real voice. hahha. well, the results were out yesterday. i know by the time you guys read this, you'd probably know the results but i'm going to say it anyway cause i'm so proud of wat we've done.

Victoria Junior College Choir: GOLD WITH HONOURS; CHAMPIONS

but personally i felt that we didn't do our best. i felt we could have done better. i wasn't contented with myself. but to think that if we hadn't put in our best and still get the gold with honours, imagine wat we can do when we put in our best. as what Mr Kwei has said and mentioned, we can only compare ourselves to no one but ourselves. being top and champions should be a natural thing, considering that we won big time in germany last year. we didn't do our best yesterda, that's for sure. but as wat many has said that the reason why we were the champions this year is not because we were good, but rather others did not deserve the win. yea. hahaha.

lest you guys out there think i'm pessisistic, well i'm not. cause i must admit that we did improve a lot for With A Lily In Your Hand and sunset. we improved a lot over the past few months growing fromn strength to strength, from intensity to intensity. when we sang up there on stage, sunset and Lily was beautiful. those 2 songs were truly a representation of our efforts. a pity that we didn't really shine in pamugun, though we did put in our best efforts. yea. still, i feltt vjchoir did very very well. we improved a lot.

has been going on for a few days already. its been tiring but i figured that the day i joined choir, i made a personal self promise that i'll stay faithful to the choir, to do my part in terms of singing blah blah blah. yea.

HA! made my own noodles today. not very big thing right? hahah. i added mushrooms and sausages. hahha.do you know how long it actually takes to prepare and cook mushrooms. you gotta soak then slowly throw in the water to cook. ahhh- long process. hahaha.

had a workshop. must say it was a ear-opener. heard tpjc, mjc, ajc, and yeah. we performed. i shan't say who's the best, cause all of us had their own good and weak points. just wanna say about our standard and performance.

i must say that today we definitely underperformed. wesped up for pamugun. totally not supposed to happen. lily: we were better. yea! but overall i think we didn't do that well. as compared to the practice we had at sch that day. i felt that one was much better.

to vjchoirmates: yo dudes! i know we didn't really sound that good that day, but let's all now realise the truth that there are other choirs that are better or going to be better than us. that is if we let our guards down! time to get our act together and really sing our hearts out! we can do this. i personally feel that the word 'try' should never be in the choir's dictionary. it's either we do or we don't. no in-betweens. since we've come thus far, we might as well give it our best shot, and go all the way to the gold with honours! tell urself and encourage those around you. we're family after all. brothers and sisters as one. we can do this, and i'm sure with our standard, our commitment, our dedication and our passion for choir, we can do this and get what we've all been waiting for.

today econs lecture was damn slack lahx. hahaha. super duper slack. lectruer late for a whole period lahx. hahaha. he didn 't know changed from LT1 to LT5. hahaha. then late for 1 whole period. come in then start sprouting some alphabets [he was referring to some area under some graphs]. super slack lahx. we were like palying bridge in that 1 period lahx. so darn fun. hahaha. heh! then talk, and crap around the bush. ghahaha. pretty fun to have lecturers as farni as him. might as well fail econs lahx. hahaha. then again, when lect started proper, the LT was barely half full. hahaha. quite fun. hahaha.

watched acjc choir perform at the esplanade yesterday. they were damn good lahx. as in seriously. thrash us flat. hahaha. sops the high notes are intense, high pitched, soft [pp]. pro! hahha. i worry for us now. haix. hahaha.

c'mon guys! we can do this! challenge ourselves in this 2.5wks.
push ourselves to the limits.

this was exactly wat i said to the vschoir like 2mths b4 their competition, but i guess it can be applied to us too:
look at the badge that we adorn everyday. what does it say? NIL SINE LABORE. that's what it says. in 3 words, 1 sentence, it has coptured the essence of the importance of hard work. Nothing without labour. that's wat it means. don't think that just because in the past, we were good, we will be good this time round. a choir is as good as its members. riding on the glories of the past batches should never be on our agenda. we gotta work for it. its the same as our academics/ sports/ games/ cca. we put in the effort so as to reap the rewards of our labour. at least at the end of the day, even if we do not get that choir of the year or even gold with honours, we can still stand up strong and proud and tell people that at least we've done our best. but if at the end of the competition, we've not done our best, it'll be the greatest pity of all. EVEN if we get the top prize, the gold with honours. the choir of the year award. anything is possible in this 2 months [hey! vjc: 2.5mks time hor....] i challenge all of you to take up this challenge. to put in your best in this competition, to practise consistently. to be independent and responsible singers.

well well well. i came home at 9pm today after a pretty short choir practice working on syf pieces only, and a dinner at swensons. well not exactly dinner, but should i say bananarish- sinful- desserts or more specifically ice cream there. ha. i'm being cornifed again.

slept for like 1.5h. tt means from 9-10.30pm. wanted to do assignment and tutorial tonight. haha. yuppex. finished physics assignment!

yea. doing econs tutorial. somehow even though the lectures are pretty boring, but i still find joy and interest in the subject. ahhaa. knowing the content for econ 'S' i've got my doubts of whether to take it. hahaha.. see how lahx. if not i'll prob wanna take chem and maths s. hahaha. definitely not physics. gosh. madnessssss.

today was the longest day of the week lahx. thank God that its over. haha. nearly slept during chinese [bored to bits], econs lecture was like *wth, maths lect was alright though, but nevertheless LT1 was without aircon. machiam like we taking spa lahx. now got extra feature- sauna. haha. super hot in there lahx. haha. X)

after all the acads, think can slack? yea right! there's pe. dang. the teachers said the weather's good for running, so this is wat we did:

1. 4 rounds round the track

2. 20 pushups, then one more round

3. 30 crunches then one more round

4. 20 burpees then one more round

5. 50 halfsquats then one last round.

thankfully the rains came. so much for the good weather. hahah. X) didn't finish the last lap. haix. sianx. hahha. but running 7rounds right. sian..... see the same thing again and again lahx. haix. not trees then its sky. hahah. normal right? haha

had leaders conference tonight also. it was pretty good i felt- the setting up of the orphanage, the watchlight ministry and the manila crusade. ahhah. i'm so gng to gear myself up for the manila crusade. so i think every sat night i'll go miracle service. hahha. prepare myself and be a gospel-lighter. it'll be soo cool. hahha. :) just dng the work of God and stuff. hahah.

had practice damn early in the morning lahx. damn. 9am!! gosh. did leornardo and a few of eric whitacre's songs before gng fer lunch. after that, we had quartets for lily.

argh. quartets. while many may recoil at the sound of that word, i took it as a challenge again. singing as the sole tenor with rachel as sop, ruiqi as alto, and chinleng as bass, well... we did pretty well. haha! kudos to gabriel for helping me spot my problems in yesterday's sectionals. yeah. just voice placement. yupperx. x)

now taht i know hwo quartets sound, yeah. i love quartets. pretty fun. hahaha.

hmmm. good friday was pretty cool. very very grand at my church. for the first time [well, at least for me] the church had strings! woohoo! and the girl i like was playing the violin, which so happens to be one of my fav instruments. YAAAAY! hahaha. :) so fun today.

went out with sam and taoyat to play pool today. ahhaa. still trying to brush my skills up. hahaha.

big bang to the end of O2

well, i guess today marked the end of the orientation 2 (o2). and boy did we end it off with a BIG BIG BIG BANG ! hahaha. was really damn fun doing all the mass dance at suntec. hahaha. while we waited for the music to come on, we were preparing ourselves at the fountain of wealth, doing cheers and just hanging out. yeah. hahaha. cause phoenix was positioned at the other side of the fountain, when the wind blew, the water was naturally "splattered" onto us. hahaha. but it was fun. that was just the misty part.

suddenly there was a huge jet of water that shot up into the sky, and all of us were like woah..... then the wind blew again, and this time, it seemed as if it was raining. hahhaa. but it was very fun! cause all of us were like trying to find a suitable place to hide ourselves from the arrow-like water. hahaha. very very very fun. then we did whiney whiney first. hahaha. couldn't really hear much, but yea, we did it. then tribal came next. my gosh, no one knew how to dance it lahx. so we were all like suakus looking at the ogls and the seniors as they did the whole tribal dance effortlessly. hahaha. very very fun! (the shaking for 10counts part was the best lahx!) then we did I Want You. hahhaa. still the all time favourite, we shouted our hearts out as we danced the chorus. hahhaa. really really cool stuff.

in between songs, we were all running like amd pigs around the fountain lahx. hahaha. some sing school anthem, some do some cheer, so machiam just run, like some 2.4km practice like that. totally rubbish lahx. hahaha. but it was a real cool experience. hahaha.

after that, we were officially dismissed. hahaha. so sad right? cause they said that they could only play 3 songs. haix. nvr do neutron, friendship and la bamba. hahaha. so the phoenixians just played black sheep- white sheep game. hahaha. until we saw the ogls at the stage area in the fountain dancing wat seemed to be la bamba. when we went there, they were doing some medley of moves from all the mass dances to dance to the song by j.LO. forgot the name of the song though... hmmm... anyway, it was really really fun. cause all the people from all walks of life were staring at us, as if we were in the play yard of the mental asylum. hahhaa. madness.

then finally we did la bamba, and before heading home, we did a series of cheers: ogl cheer [ everybody know the cheer liaox lahx. machiam change the yr 1s to be ogls automatically], vjc cheers, and duhx- for the vs-enthu guys, vs cheers. haix. really tiring. hahaha.

haiyah. O2 has generally been pretty slow and more to the boring side. but hey, we're brought the whole of suntec down at the end of it! hahhaa. i guess we should give some allowance to the new student councillors elects, cause this is the first time they organised it wat. hahaha. so might as well give them a lil support! hahaha. but they really put in a lot of effort!

choir prac.

man, i love vjchoir. had prac as usual today. jonnie didn't come today, so it wasn't really a hysterical day for me. hahaha. had like 3h of sectionals with gabe lahx. sianx. haix. but it was really effective. at least i memorised the songs that we went through. hmmm..it was good. hahaha

and then, little did we know that cat high and commonwealth were in the house fer a workshop. and then mr kwei asked us whether or not we wanna perform for them. hahaha. we said ok lahx. it was 11.30am then. he told us to get ready by 12noon. wow. we bargained, only to get a 5min extension. pathetic if u aske me. haha.

and so we went to the hall to meet our "audience". ahhaha. cat high performed first. WOW. their sops were like girls, too bad the altos were airy (jeremy said so.), the tenors and basses not strong enough (as in bo sia). hahaha. btu they were really really very good. powerful. *no sarcasm* oh ya. cat high sang ronde and lukluk. hahhaa. very vey entertaining, and light hearted songs. ahahaha. very good.

commonwealth sang next, and gosh were they a loud fierce gang. hahaha. they sang mundi shouting and miao jia shao nu wasn't really very good. hoarse tenors i think. i dunnoe. ahhaha. but it was obvious who was the winner betweeen the 2 sec sch choirs. hahaha. `duhx- if u're an idiot, look at the length of this para and the one before it. the longer one will tell u who won. hahaha.

well then, we kept our promise and sang lily and pamugun for them. lily was alright lahx. *sarcasm* went sharp. hahaha. haix. warmups only. then we sang pamugun, we were on key! hallelujah! hahaha. but i think it wasn't perfect. not yet. still alot more dynamics can be added in i guess. hahaha. haix. but the young ones were obviously stunned at gracia's high pitched scream which can cause a cockroach to disintegrate if placed in front of her mouth as she screams. madness. hahaha. but it was good. not bad lahx.

after lunch, we had more combined. then later did we find out vs and tk choirs were in the house! woah! hahaha. after combine prac, jeremy, martin, matthias, edwin and i and the other tk gang went down to see them perform. i was just in time to see vs choir. haha. pokpok and salve regina. my goodness. they were quite boring for salve. saw some tk girls sleeping. hahaha. then pokpok came. alright lahx. no energy, nothing. basically BO SIA. haix. wat can i say? haix.

tkss was next. sang crown of roses and some other song. but crown of roses sure brought back good ol' memories when vs sang it in the 2001 syf finals. ahahaha. was good.hahah. obvious who won lahx. haiyooh.

but i think cat high thrashed ALL the other choirs flat. hahaha.

argh. woke up at 7.30 today, and reached choir late. dang it. late by a few mins lahx. shitified. hahaha. dunoe how i coined that term. haix.

choir was alright lahx. first thing they did was sunset. gosh. wat a GREAT way to start choir prac. especially on a monday MORNING. hahahh. then we did lily and then pamugun. hahhaa. alright lahx. just that i felt i wasn't really warmed up enough, cause i was late. hhahaha. anyway, it was alright lahx. then basses and tenors had to survive a 2h ordeal with gabe. haix. did leonardo and go lovely rose. hahaha. combined sectionals. one page need at least 5 mins wan lohx. now that's wat i call intensive from the start. hahaha. nitty gritties. hahaha.

hmmm. ajc choir came today. they got a concert tml, so i guess this would be their final pract for the concert. so... errr... they were here? hahha. anyway, we performed for one another lahx. aj for us and we for aj. it was quite an eye opener. hahaha. havent heard ajchoir since the days when i was in S2, that was when tan en was in yr 1 at ajc. right? *caluclates with an abacus--- tick tick tick tick* ya. when i was in S2. hahahaha.

pain in the mouth

argh. damn it. just extracted my tooths yesterday; 2 of them! irritating. but it wasn't as bad as the last extraction. the pain now is due to the fact that the dentist placed rubberbands in between my molar teeths. so irritating and painful lahx. the rubber was stretched first, thn placed in between the teeth. now its going back to its original shape and thus it pushes the teeth apart. damn painful and sore lahx. irritating. can't even eat jelly today lahx. stupid.

i haven't been online for so long that i've begun to be not used to the keyboard. haix. poor me.

these few days, i don't know why i've been alone by myself for many occasions. walking home, in my room, on the bus, in the train- all these activities and more were done all by myself. i've been so alone these few days. but the complaint's not that i'm bored and want more friends but rather, when i'm alone, all sorts of thoughts rush up to my head. not any ordinary thoughts, but thoughts that i should not be bothered with, but want me to bother it? hahha. no meaning. *i know* but this is the consitant thought that has been 'plaguing' me.

should i give her up? or should i not. i'm so tired of playing this game. but when i started to sms her again, haix. the feeling was not the same. it was rejuvenated. it seemed as if i was back to square 1. for many occasions, i thought about this, and recently, zuoyi lent me his cd. some sentimental instrumental cd. i was thinking about this problem and was listening to the cd at the same time. the music made me think a lot. to such an extent that i imagined her standing in front of me. but then, at the bilnk of an eye, she disappeared. i nearly broke down. till i took out a pc of paper and started to write my feelings down. that 'essay' is filled with nothing but sadness and anxiousness.

damn it. i really hate those feelings. really.
wanna tell her. but she's only S2. with so many ccas and stuff, i wonder whether she can cope if we do be together.
i dun wanna be the selfish idiot who thinks for no one but only himself.

O's results!

finally! its here. 28th february 2005- the release of the 2004 O level results. and boy, was it really exciting. haha.

went to school at 12pm for lunch with 4B'04 and yeah we sorta walked around the school and recalled the past memories. beautiful. haha. then we sat down at the gallery and played bridge. bryan and jason dunnoe how to play, so we, being nice people. taught them how to play. then some irritating S3 prefects told muzzy that he was one of the top students cause his name was on the notice board behind the office. haha. so being people who have to see to believe, we went down. literally frantically to the board.

by the time we reach there, there was already a visible crowd who gathered to see the list of names, as if they were searching for their toto numbers like that. at that time, it was already 1.15pm. and then, muzzy and i saw our names. haha. under the 9-pointers section. WOAH! it was just so amazing for me. then i started searching for my name again, as if i wanted to relive the excitement. and when i was doing just so, i realised samuel and liang hong scored 7pts, jason scored 8 points, sean, muzzy and myself scored 9 points. when iu turned around, i saw my very own classmates visibly scared and to some extent disappointed that their names weren't there. encouragement started. well we had to. we were in this together, and are still doing so.

and so we waited until the time came. slowly everybody started to pour into the hall. cedric, izzat and many others all started to come into the hall to await for that special moment. and finally, the official time came. 1400h. haha. all of us were gathered at the hall. with 2 tables with stacks of books and papers to be given out. haha. but the most important of all was the exam slips which mr zuraimi himself held it. stress right? haha. :)

mr ang, principal, had to say some stuff before the release of the results could commence. we were all darn anxious lahx. he told us, out of the 386 candidates this year sitting for this exams, there were only 13 people who scored above 20 points. haha. we were all damn happy lahx. haha. :) then he said that without the 13 ppl, mean L1R5 is 10. inclusive of the 13 ppl, it would be 11. but anyoway, we'd be in the second band of schools now. ahha. really really really good. haha. then he said that we were the best batch of students for at least the last 10years! hahha. woohoo! pro not?

and when the signal was given, one by one, everybody went out to collect the slips lahx. but soon, it was my turn to collect. haha. i saw the breakdown of my points. so here goes:

English - A2
Combined Humanities (GSS) - A2
E Maths - A1
A Maths - A1
Chemistry - A1
Physics - B3
Art for AEP - A2
Higher Art- Distinction
Chinese - A2
total L1R5: 9pts

haha. i was like: WOAH! hahhaa. when i scrutinised the results, i was schocked that i scored an A1 for amaths lahx. haha. i mean i was one of the many who failed amaths for prelims wan lohx. haha. like 47 i think. then after mod, then i waspushed up to C6 lahx. hahha. never did i expect myself to score an A1!!

and then, for art, i expected A1 and merit for higher art. but i scored A2 andn distinction! hahha. so fun. haha. that means i did well for my painting and my theory lahx. haha. i was the only one to score a distinction for my higher art paper. haha. cool not? haha.

but really the whole thing. this whole O level thing has really been a miracle itself. and really, it's by the grace, mercy, wisdom and help that God has given me, that's why i did so well. Nothing is impossible for God. With man, this is impossible. but with God, all things are possible. i really wanna thank Him for ALL that He has done for me. from the prelims to the actual exams. from the practs to the written. from the mcqs to the essay and the structured. it's been really amazing at how much God can do... haha.

so i guess i'll do the same next year.

i dunnoe whether i should be happy or excited or worried or anxious or nervous or scared or afraid. results of the O's will be out on monday lahx. 28 February 2005. i guess i'll be looking forward to that day. haha.

tml going over to zuoyi's house for some bbq then staying over. so i'll be gng to vs from there i guess. how interesting. haha. then tml after results, choir meeting for some... errr... thing. haha. like cry on one another's shoulders. it'd be pretty exciting to see how things go. hmmm.

hmmm. i'm supposed to sleep like now cause staying up whole night at zuoyi's place wat. but i doubt i'd last. for the sole reason that i need sleep.. haha. forced sleep. haha. madness.

today had small groups practice for choir lahx. lily in your hand. crazy. do small grps prac on a day i crnt sing high notes. then tenors there were only me, joel, weilin, and asik lahx. hahah. we sang perfectly alright during pratice, just that the altos were super flat. haha. but we sorta corrected it. yup. then when we went on stage, i was like *argh.* carnt reach my high notes with falcetto. haha. so i down there mouth words. haha. its quite the freaky lahx. haha. but the year 2s were like saying that we just gotta get used to it. haha. i take it as a challenge. haha. gonna beat that.

bingoberries!

today had SLV (service Learning Venture). and my class went to this kindergarden to play and to teach the kids how to play some traditional games. when we went there, we were like, "scared lehx... HOW?" but then right, when we got to know them and saw them face to face, we were like," OMGOSH! SO CUTE!" well that was my reaction lahx. we palyed like tin bola, though it was later modified to teach them bowling. haha. played marbles. erasers. and five stones. haha. i love the kids lahx!

and guess wat? i adopted a godson. he's 3 years old, BUT damn intelligent. really really intelligent. maybe i'm biased towards him. but hey! he's my godson after all. haha. he said bye to me specially when we left the place lohx. even as i write this, i miss him already. ~sigh. he's really adorable. in fact all the kids there are reallly adorable and lovable lahx.

we did such a good job that the teachers told my CT tutor that they want us to come back every month to play with the kids. i was like "YES!!!" hahah. then i can see my godson.

victorians day

hmmm. didn't know of such a thing as Victorians' Day, where all the old boys of VS and the ex-students of VJC come back to their alma mater for a time of reuniuon. so fun lahx. haha. then this year, since its the inaugural one, its held on 5 MAR 2005. at both VS and VJC. haha. so fun lahx. from 12-4pm.

4B'04! oei- going back not? i might not be there at the beginning. yup. cause they say the choir might be performing on Victorians' Day. ya. so i dunnoe whether i can go back. maybe if got schedule, i go the earliest, then join u guys later. then we can all go out after that lahx. haha. go eat? AGAIN! lets get some stuff planned out!

happy chinese new year!

had a great day at school today- Chinese New Year celebrations at school. saw many dances, and various performances. hahaha. was pretty cool, to see so many young aspiring talents in school. really an eye-opener. trust me: when you've spent 4 years of your life in aboys school, such chances to see such performances especially dances are EXTREMELY rare. yup.

i was nevertheless made to perform again. this time witht the choir. haiyoo. so diu lian. haha. sing some crappy song, which the audience can't even hear. ghaha. music was so darn loud lahx. then there wasn't a single microphone to help us. irritaiting. but then again, PHOENIX WON. well, that's natural for phoenix.

hmm. after that, went back to vs. visit teachers and meet up with school mates. was really fun. cause after that we went to suntec to watch constatine. was not too bad lahx. love the cinematography and the likes. yup. was not bad. hahahaha.

time's running short. after this i gotta rush to my uncle's place for reunion dinner. how nice. hahaha.

went to paint the house banner, which we completed today. and guess wat? it simply looks marvellous! *gosh- the bombasticity of the language used here* haha. but i'm sure Phoenix will win the house trophy this year! hahaha. will be fantastic if we do so. or should i say, when we do so. *lol*

i've been thinking of changing over from science fac to arts fac. haix. maybe i should. maybe i shouldn't. but chances are slim. i dun think i will be. A54 still rocks though. but u know wat? S43 rocks more. ha! all in all, phoenix rocks the greatest! the other houses... well, they... pebbles and stones the smallest. *lol*

PCEM. love chem, though today's lecture was totally fast like a macdonald's service. cannot absorb lahx. lecturer must have thought we're like spongbob square pants, so absorbant wan. haha. maybe our intelligence level cam be comparable to him lahx, but we're definitely NOT absorbant. we need time to think right... just copy and copy. tell u ah. the lecturer is SAI- stupid and irritating. haha. plain mean me.

well then, there's choir bbq tml night. so i guess i'll have to turn in early. haha. but heck it. who cares. haha. tenors meeting at 12.30pm, so i got like all the time in the world to sleep lahx. not as if i'm gonna sleep for 12h. haha. imagine me doing that. i'll be like a pig lahx. haha. then again, i slept for 14h before. once. hahhaa.
